Positive ID offer a selection of starter packs for dental practices to meet the requirements of Health Technical Memorandum 01-05. The new sterilisation guidelines are coming into force in April 2011 and dentists need to be able to prove they have a system for managing the sterilisation of their equipment from cleaning, through sterilisation to storage and use. An integral part of meeting this is labelling sterilised instrument packs to ensure thorough and rapid rotation.
Our proposal allows your staff to quickly label sterilised equipment with the date it was sterilised and the date it must be used by or put back for re-sterilisation. It also provides for an additional coding facet to add additional data to the labels.
The premium packs include a selection of coloured labels providing an extra layer of confidence and allowing staff to quickly reference what stocks need using first, without having to read each label on each item in the cupboard! Alternatively, the colour coding can be used to identify particular contents if you are not using transparent packaging.
The system is foolproof, provides traceability and is quick and simple to use giving you the confidence your practice can meet or exceed HTM 01-05 requirements. We offer the basic packs in four variations although we can modify both labels and label gun volumes to suit your practice requirements.

Available in a choice of colours – just call for details. Positive ID can re-supply a range of labels to fit your labelling gun once your stocks are depleted to keep you in accordance with HTM01-05.
We also offer a simple administrative template for recording your instrument sterilisation. This is an integral part of managing the objective of only using safe sterilised equipment and being able to trace back should problems arise. To view the basic template, just click the link below.
