New Factory Unit For Positive ID Labels, we are proud to announce the acquisition and opening of their new factory unit adjacent to our site on Castle Lane Industrial Estate, Melbourne.
Positive ID Labels have a strategic plan for growth. The units were built by Bur10 and lay empty for some months before Positive ID Labels were ready to take the next step towards expansion. Thankfully, the owners had not found any other buyers and, with our neighbouring company at Jeani Accessories, we were able to complete the sale just before Christmas.
The unit was bought as part of a factory re-organisation that saw the introduction a new larger capacity flexographic printing press to complement the narrow web Mark Andys and Edale Presses. The acquisition has allowed our plain label production and label finishing services to be transferred out of our main factory.

Positive ID Labels main unit is only just over 2 years old but this acquisition is another example of our commitment to growth, capability, capacity and the future. We hope this shows our commitment to serving our customers as well as our commitment to the hard working staff at Positive ID Labels and Lynk Data.
Our investment in new printing equipment has meant we needed more space and this unit has allowed us to separate our blank label production (shared with Lynk Data) and label finishing production from Positive ID Labels printing functions which will now be confined solely to the original factory unit.
The unit also acts a storage for paper and has been fitted with a clean room for digital print work which is the next major capital investment in PID’s strategic program for the future.
