About Us – Positive ID Labels
Positive ID Labels was established in 1987 with the aim of providing bespoke printed labelling solutions to exceed customer expectations. Since then Positive ID Labels has become a leading label printer in the UK and increased turnover annually and now expanded to over 20 staff. The company moved to new larger premesis in May 2022 and was then bought out by the management team in August 2022.
We manufacture “reel to reel” printed and plain labels supplied on rolls for all businesses and industries. We are happy to supply label quantities from a few thousands to many millions. We can produce plain labels efficiently on our Daco plain label converters as well as fully customised printed labels in any shape, size or quantity on our range of full colour printing presses and finishing equipment.

Label Printing and Manufacturing Capabilities
Digital Printing
In the last few years we have invested over £500,000 in new equipment, including:
Screen TrueJet 350 UV inkjet, Xeikon 3030 dry toner and Jetrion 4900 UV inkjet with laser die cutting capability.
This fleet means we can offer full colour digitally printed labels to our customers with a range of qualities and finishes on a full range of materials.
Digital label printing means there is no need for printing plates as the ink is applied to the labels using inkjet or dry toner technology. The Jetrion also boasts a laser die cutting station making it a fully inline, single pass machine, capable of fulfilling the label production in a single operation.
Flexographic Printing
We have an MPS EB350 with 8 printing stations, a turnbar lamination and cold foiling capabilities. This allows us to produce high volume work at speed to the highest industry standards.
A recent £200,000 investment was made in our Daco 350TDP 2 colour printing press. This machine can use UV and water based inks to print simple block work at volume. It also doubles as a plain label converter. The machine benefits from an automated turret which means labels are produced from feed stock to boxed finished product in a single pass.
We are one of the few UK based label printing companies to still offer price gun labels. We run a fleet of 4 Mark Andy 830 machines. These are used exclusively to produce price gun labels.
Plain Label Conversion
We are proud to partner with Daco Solutions for our plain label conversion. We operate 3 plain label machines:
Daco 350 TDP label converter, Daco 350 PLD label converter and Daco 250 PLD label converter
These three machines allow us to produce specialist size plain labels on a range of materials and in over label 500 sizes.
We can supply plain labels on a range of core sizes from 25mm, 38mm, 44mm and 76mm – so plain labels can fit virtually any thermal printer you may have.
Specialists in Sandwich Labelling Systems
We specialise in food labelling with a particular focus on sandwich labelling systems – a one-stop-shop for sandwich labels, labelling software and associated software. We offer a range of thermal printers to use with our labels and provide ongoing free technical support to all our label customers. This specialism includes software solutions for nutrition labelling and our LabelData software to allow printing for multi-site food businesses such as bakeries or butcher chains.
Price Gun Labels and Labelling Guns
Positive ID Labelling was built on pricing guns. We offer a full range of one line price guns, two line labelling guns, and three line labelling guns for complicated data labelling. To go with this comprehensive range of pricing guns, we manufacture a full range of price gun labels to fit all three types of labelling gun. These labels can be blank, coloured or printed bespoke to your specific needs. We are proud to deliver these products to you quickly and effectively.
