Courier Labels Manufacture
We only use Grade A materials sourced from Europe’s leading paper suppliers so that you can be confident that you will be able to print clear crisp addresses and barcodes that will scan easily reducing delayed deliveries.
Whether you need labels in small or medium volumes for your business or E-commerce venture or a Courier company wanting a reliable supply for your labels requirements – Positive ID Label can deliver for you!
Carrier and courier labels are normally just plain labels prepared on plain direct-thermal paper material known as “DT Eco” or for a superior finish, Semi-Top Coated Direct Thermal Paper. We manufacture these sort of labels using one of three plain label converting machines. We operate a high capacity Daco PLD350 for high volumes. This machine, along with the two smaller Daco PLD250 machines all utilise semi-automatic turret rewinding reducing manual operations and brings you price competitive labels.
The ‘turret’ winds the labels to the specification required and rotates through 120 degrees. The finished labels are removed and new cores are loaded onto the mandrel whilst the other mandrel is rewinding labels. This mandrill rotates again to take on the next run of labels.
The Daco Solutions plain label converters all use rotary cutting to prepare the labels from the feedstock. The waste matrix is removed at the same time as the cut. This means the machines can run at very high speeds; over 140m per minute. The rolls of plain labels are then boxed or palletised for delivery.
Common Courier labels sizes and quantities
Most delivery labels and courier labels come in standard sizes such as 102mm x 152mm (4″ x 6″) and 102mm x 102mm (4″ x 4″). For desktop printers, these are supplied on 25mm (1″) or 38mm (11/2″) cores. Both 4″ x 6″ and 4″ x 4″ labels can be supplied with or without a perforation between the labels. Such delivery labels are ideally suited to common courier label printers such as the Zebra GK420D, used by most couriers.
Courier labels need to fit the printer on your desktop. Most desktop thermal printers have a 5″ (127mm) maximum outside diameter so we supply labels to fit that. The number of labels on a roll varies by label size. We are also able to supply courier labels in 76mm (3″) cores for Industrial Labels printers.
