New Directors: Positive ID Labels are proud to announce the appointment of three staff members to the board of directors. Being issued shares in the company, Helen Dennis, Danny Carr and Pete Howells are all joining the board after 30 years of combined experience with the company.
The New Directors of Positive ID Labels
Helen Dennis takes the role of Commercial Director having been with the company for 6 years. Her function is central the smooth operation of the company and this position gives her the authority to drive the day to day operations for greater efficiency, quality and performance.
Danny Carr takes the role of Production Director giving him far more autonomy in managing the production facilities of the company, again with far more authority to drive improvements. Danny was the first production member of the company joining in 2004. He has witnessed the growth from a tiny operation in ‘the potting shed’ to 2 production facilities with over 14 presses and plain label converters employing 24 personnel.
Pete Howells takes on the role of Technical Director responsible for a wide range of areas of the business. From a background in aviation management, he has worked with the company for 7 years and implementing artwork, IT, web and training systems. He also works on product development and provides training and technical support to customers.
Commenting on the appointments, John Mayers said:
This announcement consolidates the work of these three key members of staff whilst they have been with the company. They have all dedicated themselves to the well being of the company and this move helps them share in the benefits of their hard work. It also gives me confidence that the company is in safe hands when I am away from the office.
Positive ID Labels have invested £330,000 in a MPS EB370 8 colour UV label printing press this year on top of the £330,000 investment in the Jetrion 490 digital printing press and in-line laser cutting station in November 2015.
These investments and these appointments should stand the company in great shape to continue its growth and performance for the future.

Last year Freezeland Ltd, a London based retailer of frozen products, contacted us regarding their labelling. Here at Positive ID we are proud to announce that we completely revamped their labelling process. We now supply them with 70,000 labels a year for them to use on their desktop printer system.

Orexis Fresh Foods Ltd is a family run Food Manufacturing Company specializing in ethnic dips, Mexican dips, luxury salads and sandwich fillings. Orexis Ltd approached Positive ID for a simple cost effective way to apply a “Best Before” and “Batch Number” to a range of their products.
The answer was to use a two line-labelling gun. George Katsaros from Orexis said “we have been using Positive ID for 3 years now and they initially advised us correctly about the right products to use and have been well pleased and served by them since”.
