Positive ID Labels are a specialist label manufacturer based in Melbourne, South Derbyshire. We have been producing sandwich labels for years and can manufacture virtually any sandwich label to your needs in full colour. We can handle small order for as few as 3000 sandwich labels. We can manufacture orders in excess of 1 million labels too.

Aside from sandwich labels, we can also supply complete sandwich labelling systems including thermal printers and software to produce your labels on demand on site.

Sandwich Labels

Sandwich labels can be provided on “Direct Thermal” material or on non-thermal materials for use with resin or wax ribbons. Alternatively, we can print your labels from scratch with all the information you require. To do this, you will need to order enough for that to be commercially sensible.

What needs to be on your label?

Food labelling is governed by EU Food Information for Consumer laws. These regulations require as a minimum:

A description of the food
A weight or indicative amount of the product
A Use By or Best Before Date declaration & a date to go with that
A list of ingredients
An indication of allergens within that list of ingredients (from the 14 allergens)
A Quantitative Declaration aka QUID Declaration (where (a) specific ingredient(s) are indicated in the description
The address and contact information of the food business responsible for supplying the food

Last year Freezeland Ltd, a London based retailer of frozen products, contacted us regarding their labelling.
