OK – this is a little bit off our usual topic but I was reading the Telegraph the other day and thought I would share this.
According to studies conducted by Virginia Commonwealth University, stress levels increased in employees who did not have their dogs increased as the day went on. Stress levels went down in employees who did have their dogs with them. More importantly, overall morale levels were better in workplaces where a dog (anyone’s dog) was present. The study also found that job satisfaction improved in workplaces where a dog was present.
Our little morale officer is called Merlin and he does enjoy a biscuit at coffee time!
