    Onion Sunday at the Fox and Goose


    Positive ID Labels have always enjoyed supporting local fundraising and charity events.

    One recent one, in particular, was close to our hearts as it was run by our very own Kenneth Hague!

    Ken not only is a very experienced member of our sales team but is also a landlord of his own pub; the Fox and Goose at Illston-on-the-Hill.

    Not so long ago the Fox and Goose hosted another successful ‘Onion Sunday’ where about £5,300 was raised to be split between three charities.

    These were PROSTaid (A local prostate cancer charity), Dementia Café in Market Harborough and Alzheimer’s Society Leicester and Rutland (Two local Alzheimer’s charities).

    ‘Onion Sunday’ is a fund raising event that is run by the IOGA (Illston Onion Growers Association) and The Fox and Goose.

    This is the second ‘Onion Sunday’ that the IOGA have hosted at the Fox and Goose, and both times they have been extremely successful!  Mark Brian, in his first year as Chairman of IOGA, said:

    “It was a huge honour to be part of an event that brings a lot of like-minded people together to celebrate country life and at the same time raise invaluable funds for very worthy, local causes.”
