Positive ID Label can provide a complete shelf edge label printer along with shelf edge labelling material. This allows users to easily label all the shelves in their shop and re-label and amend those labels with ease. The material can be supplied in a range of colours to emphasise deals and offers.

Positive ID Labels will supply a label printer along with a vellum material and thermal transfer ribbons.

Shelf Edge Label Printer

Positive ID Labels will supply a TSC Printer with

• Thermal Transfer and Direct Thermal Printing capability
• 2 or 4 inch print width
• 5 inch per second print speed
• 200 dpi resolution
• In-line guillotine cutter

The printer uses a ribbon to print black wax onto a continuous roll of material we supply. The inclusion of a guillotine allows the user to print shelf edge card to any length they choose.

The printer can print any image or text, number, shape or barcode. The barcodes are available in a number of formats including EAN8, EAN13, QR Codes and ITF or Code 39 or Code 128 symbology. Our system offers you complete flexibility to print however you want!

Shelf Edge Label Material

Positive ID Labels can provide card on a continuous roll in plain white or colour washed with any colour or branding. The material is standard vellum card but we can also offer material with direct thermal pigments that allow you to print without the need for ribbons. This is easier to use but the cost of direct thermal material is more expensive and will not age as well as thermal transfer printing using wax or resin ribbon.

Shelf Edge Labelling Software and Support

Positive ID Labels offer an inclusive solution of hardware, material and software. We offer Label Direct Software to run your printer. This allows you to design individual labels for special offers, including shapes to emphasise offers. Alternatively, you can use a template design coupled to a database of your products so every shelf edge label will look the same in layout and design.

Having a database of products sounds more complicated than it is. All that is required is a simple Microsoft Excel spreadsheet table with headings and rows of data for each product. If you don’t have Microsoft Excel you can use Google Sheets or use a free Office software program such as Open Office or Libre Office to create you database. Once you have designed the layout of your shelf edge label, you just link the template to the database and you can print to your heart’s content.
